Mexico City Temple

Yesterday, Grandpa and I had the opportunity of attending the Mexico City Temple Rededication here at the stake center. It was a wonderful experience for us to see and hear Bro. and Sister Beccera speak. They are some old friends from Barrio Lucero that Grandpa and I knew as we were growing up. We also heard Pres. Monson and Pres. Eyring along with others speak. Pres. Monson told us some of his experiences when he took Spanish in high school. It was hilarious. The dedicatory prayer was beautiful. I am looking forward to reading it and adding it to our binder of temple dedicatory prayers.

Sister Dibb, who is a counselor in the General Young Women Presidency and also happens to be Pres. Monson's daughter, held up a bookmark that had been given to Pres. Monson years ago. It had a guy running, then an arrow pointing to the temple. She told us the meaning which was "run to the temple". It was great seeing members that we had worked with in the branch plus also to know that the stake center was an extension of the Mexico City Temple for that moment. What an experience.

True Love

Can you believe it was thirty-two years ago that Grandpa asked Grandma to marry him. Wow! Unbelieveable! Friday we celebrated the day we got engaged by attending the Salt Lake Temple.

Happy Halloween. Here are some pictures of Grandpa's U of U jack-o-lantern eating up a BYU jack-o-lantern. He sure had fun carving them out for family home evening on Monday.

I'll be putting our Halloween flag out on the flagpole to greet all of our trick o treaters that come by this evening.

Grandpa has his Halloween all ready to play as they come up the stairs. It should be fun.

Guelita

Guelita's birthday is here! Yippee!! She is 87. Wow! We got together on Saturday to celebrate her birthday. The food was yummy! We sang happy birthday to her and it was fun watching her blow out her candles. We only put a number 8 and a number 7 on the cake. Guelita joked about how she could turn the numbers around and make it a 78 instead of an 87. What a special mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she is. She is and example to all of us. Happy Birthday Guelita.

Autmun Leaves

We did it! We finally got to see those beautiful autumn leaves. After going to the temple on Wednesday we took a drive up Emigration Canyon. Way up high we were able to see some beautiful colors. We only had one problem...Grandpa forgot his camera. :) We'll take another drive soon and make sure we take the camera this time.

Yippee!! Happy Birthday Laura!

Grandpa and I wanted to wish you a very happy birthday.

You just keep geting taller and prettier each time we see you. I think we will pick up an ice cream cake and sing happy birthday to you and of course we will make sure and shout HOORAY! Laura's had a birthay!

Missing...Fall Colors

So Grandpa, Yaya and I took a fun drive towards Logan thinking that we were going to find a lot of gorgeous fall colors in the canyon. WRONG!! There were some pretty sites as we drove from Brigham City towards Logan, but then when we headed into Logan Canyon we didn't see much at all. I guess we were just too early. We did have lots of fun though. We stopped off at The Great Harvest by Yaya's house and got some yummy breakfast rolls with chocolate milk. We pulled off in one of the areas in Logan Canyon and we all took a nap. It was so peaceful and quiet. On the way back from Logan we picked up some raspberries. Ooooo they were great!!!! Now we are home resting from all of our driving. :)
